Location: Barcelona, Spain (CCIB – Camera di Commercio Italiana Barcellona)

The Cámara de Comercio Italiana Barcelona (CCIB) is seeking a Green TCLF Local Expert to provide technical support and consultancy in relation to the green transition in the textile and fashion sector, contributing to analysis, co-design, and development activities within the MEDinCHAMBERS project.  This initiative, funded under the Interreg NEXT MED 2021-2027 programme, focuses on strengthening governance within textile value chains across Italy, Spain, Tunisia, Egypt, and Turkey. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

The selected candidate will be responsible for provision of technical consultancy on green packaging, EU trade requirements, and the comparison of national regulations.  He or She will support the compilation of tools and innovation-driven models for new CCI-tailored services, including a gap analysis and the identification of priorities for service design. The expert will also contribute to the facilitation of 4-Helix stakeholder focus groups and the identification of end-user requirements, as well as to the mapping of EU and national targeted policies for greener textile production. Additional responsibilities include supporting the joint design of Local Pilot Knowledge Hubs and contributing to the jointly designed MEDinCHAMBERS Detector by the Local Pilot Knowledge Hubs.  

 

Candidate Requirements 

  • Degree in environmental sciences, textile engineering, circular economy, European policies, or fields related to sustainability and the textile and fashion industry.
  • Proven technical experience in the textile, clothing, leather, or footwear (TCLF) sector, with a particular focus on green transition, sustainable packaging, and EU regulatory compliance. Previous experience in European or international cooperation projects is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of EU trade requirements, national regulations on sustainability and packaging, and European and national policies for greener textile production.
  • Ability to conduct gap analyses, map policies and regulations, and support the design of innovative services tailored to Chambers of Commerce.
  • Experience in facilitating multi-stakeholder working groups and collaborating with public, private, academic, and civil society actors within a 4-Helix model.
  • Good command of Spanish and English; knowledge of French, Italian, or Arabic is considered an advantage given the transnational nature of the project.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams with autonomy, methodological rigor, and attention to detail.

 

Contractual Terms

  • Type: Professional service contract.
  • Duration: From the start of the contract to the end of the project [23/09/27]
  • Compensation: A total gross amount of 16.000,00 €, inclusive of VAT
